WHY HAVE EXPENSIVE SCHOOL BUILDINGS IN HUDSON FALLS? FUTURE SCHOOL BUILDINGS At a recent conference of school superintendents Held at the University of Georgia, it was brought very forcibly that it 16 no longer true that the school buildings are nothing more than a place to get pupils out of the rain. According to the Georgia conference, the trend in school architecture is a one-story flat-roofed building. The emphasis is on economy of construction and maintenance, and on stimulating educational environment rather than on ornaments and frills. The modern school is built on large sites and feature class rooms, new methods of lighting, better acoustics, use of colors, controlled and improved ventilation and outdoor facilities. HENRY W.

Whether they walk, or ride their bicycles do they know the traffic rules and how to behave safely?" Chief Morency pointed out that it's up to the parents to see that their youngsters develop self rellance and good habits to safeguard them in traffic, "You can't always be there to protect them," Chief Morency said.

"But there are several ways you can help them grow up safely. First, impress upon the youngsters that streets are for automobiles not for tricycles, scooters nor games. "Second, teach them to cross streets only at corners and to stop at the curb, look both ways and for turning traffic, wait for the traffic signal, or until all 18 clear, then walk across. "Third, make them realize that when they ride their bikes there are special rules they must know and that they must obey the traffie: laws that apply to- motor vehicles, including all signs and "So, it's up to the parents and all adults to see that youngsters know why and how to be safe and to set them a good example," concluded Chief Morency, Circle Supper Tomorrow The Vereengheit Circle will conduct 8 family supper in the Fort Miller Reformed Church parlor tomorrow at 7:15 P.
