THE POST-STAR, GLENS FALLS, N. FRIDAY, MARCH' 7, 1952 MARKET HIGHLY MIXED NEW YORK, March 6. (P) -The stock market was highly mixed today with rails and oils the heavy favorites. Oil and railroads mix well. Northern was ahead 21 after Pacific, reported, it has oil, gas and mineral reservations on more than three million acres in the new Williston oil basin of North Dakota and Montana.

TREASURY POSITION WASHINGTON, March (P) The position of the Treasury March 4:. Net budget receipts, 139.67; budget expenditures, cash balance, 005.13: decrease under previous day, $595,323.40. Seeking Legion Post Al State Convention GEORGE W. CREGG George W. Cregg of Syracuse is Onondaga County's candidate for department commander at the New York State American Legion convention to be conducted in August at Saratoga Springs.

Mr. Cregg, 35- Navy veteran who rose from ensign to lieutenant commander, is department chairman of the Legion's -is national security committee. He an attorney, graduate of Syracuse University and Harvard Law School, and was Syracuse's "Man of the Year" in 1948. Still active in the Naval Reserve, he is married and the father of two children. Haviland, Vicinity Obituaries Frederick H. Stoddard SARATOGA SPRINGS Frederick H. Stoddard, who resided out Washington Street, died Thursday morning at the home of his niece, Mrs. Althine Denno, Corinth, where he had made his home for the last four and a half months. Mr.

Stoddard was born in Sara- toga Springs July 18, 1877, and had spent most of his life in this city. He was a member of Saratoga Lodge 15, Odd Fellows; Yaddo Lodge 85, and Canton Lafayette-1, Burlington, Vt. Survivors include a son, Vernon F. Stoddard, Greenwich; his sister, Miss Bertha R. Stoddard, Saratoga, Springs; la niece, Mrs.

Denno, and three nephews, Leon Harris and Roy Stoddard, Saratoga Springs, and Harvey Stoddard, Schoharle. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10 A. M. at the Burke Puneral 'Home. The Rev.

Richard A. Whitby WARRENSBURG Richard A. Whitby, a native of Warrensburg and a member of the Whitby Family Band which was well known throughout this area about 35 years a 245 ago, died Hamilton Wednesday Street, at Albany. his home, Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Kathryn M.

Waring Whitby; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Chapman, and Miss Kate Whitby of Yonkers. Funeral services will be conducted at the Tebbutt Memorial Chapel, 176 State Street, Albany, Saturday at 1:30 P. M. Friends may call at the chapel this evening.
