SALEM Harold Joseph LaFarr, 67, of Sebastian, died Wednesday (March 14. 1979) in Vero Beach, Fla. Mr. LaFarr was born May Mws Margaret Lovaa CORINTH Miss Margaret Lovas, 75, of 214 Center Corinth, co-founder of the First Corinth Hospital, died Thursday (March IS. 1979) in Adirondack Regional Hospital, Corinth.

Miss Lovas was born June 10, (903. In Arkansas, and had resided in Corinth for 40 years, She was a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Miss Lovas. along with the late Cecil Mae Winslow, co-founded the First Corinth Hospital on Main Street, which opend May IS, 1935. The hospital moved in 1937 to a site on lower Palmer Avenue and became the Adirondack Regional Hospital.

Miss Lovas served In an administrative capacity at the hospital and later served in the same capacity at Benedict Memorial Hospital in Ballston Spa. She is survived by a niece, Mrs. Julia Tarr of Buffalo, and a nephew, Thoeas Lov-asz of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Services will be conducted at 10 a m. Saturday at the Densmore Funeral Home.

7 Sherman Corinth, and at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, by the Rev. Thomas J. Meehan. pastor.

Spring interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Corinth. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Frederick II. Armstrong WARRENSBURG -Frederick H.

Armstrong. 67, of South Street, Chestertown, formerly of 34 River Warrensburg, died Thursday (March 15, 1979) in Glens Falls Hospital, after a long illness. Mr. Armstrong was born April 2, 1911, in Hague, and was a -life resident of the Warrensburg area. He was employed by the New York State Highway Department in Chestertown and Warrensburg as a light equipment operator for 27 years, retiring In 1974.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Margarette Armstrong; two sons, Charles Armstrong of Warrensburg and Raymond Armstrong of Altoona, a brother, Byron Armstrong of Tennessee; a sister, Mrs. Stanley (Gertrude) Sin-comb of New Mexico; six grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Richard Armstrong. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Maynard D.

Baker Funeral Home, 114 Main Warrensburg, by the Rev. Alfred Chamberlain, pastor of the Assembly of God Church of Warrensburg. Spring interment will be in Chestertown Rural Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

LaFarr 4, 1911, in Hudson Falls, the son of William and Mary (Pidgeon) LaFarr He was a former resident of Putnam Station. He owned and operated The ON DAW A Hotel in Salem. Survivors include his wife, Cordelia (Elder) LaFarr; four daughters, Mrs. John (Carolyn) Bentley and Mrs. David (Margaret) Culver, both of Salem.

Mrs. Michael (Mary Ellen) Havern of Glens Falls and Mrs. James (Elizabeth) Padgett of Hudson Falls; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Margurltte LaFarr of Hudson Falls; sister. Mrs.

Davit WARRENSBURG -Norman E. Davis, 88, of 66 Metedeconk Road, Bricktown, a former resident of Warrensburg. died Wednesday (March 14, 1979) In Point Pleasant Hospital, Point Pleasant. N.J. Mr.

Davis was born in Christiana, and resided in Warrensburg for 30 years, before moving to Bricktown 13 years ago. He was the widower of Edna (Wyss) Davis, who died earlier this month. Mr. Davis was employed for 22 years as a civil engineer for the Warren County Highway Department in Warrensburg, retiring in 1960. He is survived by three daughters.

White, 62, of West Road, town of Fort Ann, died Thursday (March 15, 1979) In Emma Laing Stevens Hospital, Granville. Mr. White was born Aug. 9, 1916, in West Pawlet, Vt. He was a retired employee of the Washington County Highway Department.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Priest) White; six daughters, Mrs. Anna Gage of White River Junction, Mrs. Linda Wilcox of Fort Ann, Mrs. Pamela Andrus of Greenwich, Miss Constance White of Hudson, Mrs. Dawn Stone of Fort Edward and Miss Arleen White of Fort Ann; four sons, Michael White of Middle Granville and Ronald, Dana and Richard White, all of Fort Ann 15 grandchildren, and several aunts and uncles.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Mason Funeral Home, 63 George Fort Ann, by the Rev. Peter B. Mahon. Spring interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Middle Granville.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Eileen M. Stebbins, 81, of Ridge Street, Glens Falls, was found dead Thursday (March 15.

1979) at Glens Falls Hospital. Mrs. Stebbins was the daughter of Calvin and Elizabeth (Jenkins Moore. She was the widow of Louis B. Stebbins.

She was retired school teacher of the Glens Falls City School System. in Schenectady, the son of Edith M. Loveland of North Miami, and the late Martin E. Loveland. He married Ellen (Cronin) Loveland on Jan. 27, 1946, in Hudson Falls.

A veteran of World War II, Mr. Loveland was a 32-year employee of Finch. Pruyn Co. Inc. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Glens Falls.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Darlene St. John of Glens Falls; a son, Michael D. Loveland of Glens Falls; three foster daughters, Mrs. Mary Jane Preston, Miss Florence Miner and Mrs.

Darlene Brennan, all of Glens Falls; several grandchildren; a brother, Richard M. Loveland of South Glens Falls, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist Church of Glens Falls, by the Rev. Dr.

Task force members hsve been divided into three groups to consider specific problems within each of the three major issues that have been chosen by the group as being of special Interest in this area acid rains, PCBs (polychlorinsted biphenyls) and landfill leachates. Each group was given a worksheet Wednesday to fill out on each of a number of specific problems identified within its area. Information then is being gathered for each of these topics on such questions as What law covers this problem? What agency is responsible for enforcing it? What existing mechanisms are there for involving the public (press conferences, public hearings, letters to legislators, What new mechanisms are needed? What is required to get information on the topic? The group will meet again April 11 to go over these reports and discuss what mechanisms can be developed to solve some of the problems encountered.

Donna Trautwein, a part-time staff coordinator with the project, said it is hoped that a draft report on the group's suggestions can be completed by the end of the month. The final report is due in May. calls while trying to transfer them from one department to another and officials who not only do not have the information you need but who don't know who you should ask. The task force is working in a pilot program funded in New York and New Jersey by the federal Environmental Protection Agency to see if some methods can be developed to overcome these problems for citizens who want to make known their views on toxic substances. Dinner scheduled LAKE LUZERNE Mrs, Florence Moran, 65, of 2368 Lake Lake Luzerne, died Thursday (March 15, 1979) at her home. Mrs. Moraa was born April J7, 1913, in the Bronx, She married Paul W. Moran, now deceased, in 1945, in the Bronx. She was a communicant of the Church of the Holy Infancy.

She moved to Lake Luzerne in 1973, after retiring from the HerU Corp, of Manhanttan. Survivors include two brothers. Joseph and George Murtha, both of Lake Luzerne; sister, Mrs. Francis (Anne) Sullivan of Lake Luzerne; a nephew, and several nieces. Services will be conducted at 11 a m.

Frunk GREENFIELD CENTER Harold J. Frank, 85. of Pittsfield, died Wednesday (March 14, 1979) at the home of his son, the Rev. Lawrence Frank of St. Joseph's Rectory, Greenfield Center.

Mr. Frsnk is the widower of Kathleen (Best) Frank. He had been employed at the Hudson Falls-Fort Edward General Electric Co. for 47 years, before retiring In 1959 as manager of materials. A veteran of World War he was a member of Fourth Degree.

Knights of Columbus and the Elfun Society and Quarter Century Club of General Electric Co. Besides his son. who is pastor of St. Joseph's Church' in Greenfield and St. Paul's Church in Rock City Falls, Mr.

Frank is survived by another son, the Rev. Paul J. Frank of West Palm Beach, a daughter, Mary Kathleen Frank of Worcester, and a brother, Walter I. Frank of Pittsfield, Mass. Services will be conducted at 9 a.m.

IVrrotte CORINTH Bernard Perrotte. 56. of 341 West Maple Corinth, died Thursday (March 15. 1979) at Adirondack Regional Hospital. Mr.

Perrotte was born Dec. 15. 1922. in Redford, and most of his life in Corinth. He was a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Corinth.

He was employed for 38 years by International Paper Co. in Corinth and was a member of the company's Quarter-Century Club. During World War II. Mr. Perrotte served In the Army in the Asiatic and Pacific theaters from 1942 to 1945.

He received a number of decorations and citations for outstanding service. Survivors include his wife. Shirley (Smith) Perrotte; a son. Richard Perrotte of Land O'Lakes. Fla.

two daughters. Mrs. Roger (Glenda) VanDusan of Colorado Springs. Colo, and Mrs. Patrick (Gloria) De-vine of Midland.
