Sunday, May 7, 2006 The Post-Star, Glens Falls, N. Y. OBITUARIES Fleurette G. Bernier BERNIER Mrs. Bernier enjoyed arts and crafts, pottery, reading and watching the New York Yankees.

Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl Anne Breeney and her husband, Stephen of Torrington, three grandchildren, BERNIER Ryan David Seney of Worcester, Heather Fleurette Seney of Torrington, Conn. and Stephen Matthew Breeney I1 of Torrington, two nephews, one niece and many cousins. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, May 8, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 403 Palmer Corinth, with the Rev. Richard Severson officiating.

Burial will be private at St. Mary's Cemetery, Corinth. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Densmore Funeral Home, 7 Sherman Corinth. The family suggests that memorials take the form of donations to the Corinth Emergency Squad, 101 Sherman Corinth, NY 12822 or the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205-3890.

William F. Bell grandson, Cooper Spaulding; a brother, Edward Bell of Schenectady; a sister, Mary Grace Lussier of Scotia; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Armer Funeral Home, 39 East High Ballston Spa. Burial will follow at Ballston Spa Cemetery.

Born on April 22, 1949, in Ticonderoga, she was the daughter of the late Jerome and Edith (Knights) Staunches. On Feb. 13, 1971, she married Wyman Swinton, in Keeseville.

Soon after her husband reenlisted in the U.S. Army and for over 27 years, they traveled around the world serving our country, While in Wurzburg, Germany, Gloria managed a deli and bakery on the army base at Leighton Barracks. Gloria loved to cook for her family and friends. She also enjoyed the flowers and baskets of plants in her home. Her family said Gloria was the glue that kept the family together.

She was devoted to them, they were her everything. Gloria always put everyone else first no matter how she felt. Her death has affected everyone in her entire family and she will be greatly missed by them and all her friends. In addition to her family, Gloria also loved her dog, Sir Toby James. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sons, Timothy Swinton, who died in 1984 and Thomas Swinton, who died in 1992; three brothers, Jerome Staunches Robert Staunches and Leo Staunches, and one sister, Joan Thomas.

Gloria's survivors include loving' husband of 35 Cora P. Waldron Cora GLENS FALLS Gloria Jean Swinton, 57, of Ridge Street, passed away unexpectedly, surrounded NORTH CREEK Cora P. Waldron, 84, was reunited with her beloved husband, Ivon, after passing away on Thursday, May 4, 2006, at the Glens Falls Hospital following a long illness. Born Feb. 22, 1922, in Stony Creek, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Eva (Eldridge) Knowlton.

Following the passing of her father, she was raised by her mother and her stepfather, Howard VanAuken. Cora married Ivon D. Waldron on Sept. 6, 1939, and the couple resided and raised their family in North Creek. She was an exceptional cook and worked at various establishments including the Friends Lake Inn, Gore Mountain Ski Center, the North Creek Bowling Lanes and Adirondack TriCounty Health Care Center.

Cora was recently presented an honorary lifetime trustee with the North Creek Baptist Church and was founder and instrumental with the church memory tree. She was a member of the former Wevertown Rebeka Lodge. Her favorite pastimes included crocheting, bingo, going to garage sales and auctions and spending time with her family. She enjoyed collecting dolls and was an avid gardener and loved flowers. Her husband of 55 years, Ivon D.

Waldron, died Dec. 7, 1994; her daughter, Cora "Pinky" Waldron, died in 1943 and her daughter, Carol Thomas, died in 2002; granddaughters, Eva Pauline Tyrel, died in 1967 and Jennifer Brown, died in 1981. "Tony" Colotti of School Street, Glens Falls, passed away suddenly, Thursday, May 4, 2006, at his home. Born in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Frank A.

and Louise (Fredella) Colotti Sr. COLOTTI Following graduation from St. Mary's Academy i in Glens Falls, Tony continued his education at Skidmore College in Saratoga, earning master's degrees in both English and history, of which he was very proud. Due to family health issues, Tony assisted his father and brother at Colotti Shoe Repair, and later became the owner of the former store at 17 South Street, and most recently at 1-3 Broad Glens Falls, running the store until his retirement around 2003. Tony was an avid reader who was well-versed on most any subject.

He also loved the great outdoors, summers, animals, and helping people in general, especially the elderly. He also looked forward every Sunday to phone calls from his sister while she was in Florida, and was anxiously waiting for her to come home to spend time together at' the Colotti cottage on Glen Lake, which was his biggest enjoyment. Besides his parents, one brother, Leonard A. Colotti, and one nephew, Leonard's son, Frank A. 'Tony' Colotti Jr.

CORINTH Fleurette G. Bernier, 80, of LeMont Avenue, died Friday, May 5, 2006, at Saratoga, Hospital following a short illness. Born on May 18, 1925, in St. Albert, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Yvonne (Guertin) Goulet. Mrs.

Bernier graduated from Corinth High School and graduated with a degree i nursing from the St. Peter's Hospital School of Nursing of Albany. She married Leo E. Bernier on April 17, 1949, 1 in Corinth. The couple resided in Corinth for many years, and also lived in Niagara Falls, Farmington, Maine and Ticonderoga for several years.

He died June 13, 2000, following 51 years of marriage. Mrs. Bernier was employed as the emergency room supervisor at Adirondack Regional Hospital in Corinth for many years and also worked as the nurse during the construction of the new IP mill in Ticonderoga. She was a longtime communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Corinth. BALLSTON SPA William F.

Bell, 83, of Leahy Lane, Ballston Spa, died Friday, May 5, 2006, at Albany Medical Center. Born in Scotia, Sept. 20, 1922, I he was the son of the late Philip and Anna Mae Bell. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European theater. Mr.

Bell was a cost accountant for General Electric Co. in Schenectady for 39 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Saratoga Springs. Mr. Bell was a handyman and enjoyed building and puttering in his yard.

His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Marian MacAllister. He is survived by his wife of. 60 years, Muriel Bell; four chil-: dren: Stephan (Megan) Bell of Meredith, N.H., Timothy Bell HUDSON FALLS Jennie Mae Austin, 91, formerly of Route 22 in North Granville, and most recently, residing with her niece, Jennie Smith and her husband, of Myrtle Avenue, in Hudson Falls, went home to the Lord and into the arms of her husband, on Thursday, May 4, 2006, after a short illness. Jennie was born on Aug.

25, 1914, in Long Lake, the daughter of the late Carl and Selina (St. Onge) McIntyre. On Jan. 26, 1932, she married Roland Austin in Long Lake. Jennie worked for Telescope Furniture in Granville as a seamstress, Kinni Kinnic Girls Camp in Poultney, as a dietitian.

She was a supervisor for the former Embassy Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, and she also worked for Warrensburg Shirt Factory as a seamstress. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, dancing and traveling, especially to Alaska. Her talents also including being able to see a dress at the store and then re-creating it at home by making her own patterns. At one time, Jennie was named "Easy Country Valentine Sweetheart" at one of the Easy Country Fan Club's February meetings. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roland Austin, her three brothers, Arthur, John and Erdyx McIntyre, and her sister, Louise Collins Wilt.

Her survivors include her nieces and nephews, Jennie Smith and her husband, Judson, COLOTTI Joseph Colotti, have predeceased him. Survivors include his loving sister, Barbara CeladonDenig and her husband, Joseph, of Queensbury; one niece, Teresa Miller and her husband, Douglas, and their daughter, Melissa, all of Queensbury; one nephew, Victor Celadon and his wife, Terry, and their daughter, Christina, all of Laurinburg, N.C; and many dear friends. At Tony's request, calling hours will be private and at the convenience of the family. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 10, at 11 a.m. at St.

Mary's Church, Warren Street, Glens Falls, with Father Joseph Anselment officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Main Street, South Glens Falls. Friends are invited to join Tony's family for a luncheon following the burial at "The Dome" Adirondack Sports Complex on Upper Sherman Queensbury. Gillis GREENWICH Doris E. Gillis, 71, a former resident of East Greenwich, died Friday, May 5, 2006, at her home in Victory Mills, where she had just recently taken residence. Born Oct. 31, 1934, in the town of Greenwich, she was the daughter of Henry and Iva (Curtis) McMurray. Doris was the widow of Robert Gillis, who died in 2002.

She had been employed as a housekeeper for many years in the Greenwich area. Survivors are two sons, Gary Gillis and his wife, Crystal, of Fort Edward, and Gien Gillis and his wife, Marjorie, of Victory Mills; a brother, Leroy McMurray of Greenwich; three grandchildren, Amy Gillis, Jeremy Gillis and Glen Gillis and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at.1 p.m. Monday, May 8, at Greenwich Cemetery, with Marianne Tynan, Chaplain of the Community Hospice of Saratoga, officiating. There will be no calling hours.

Box 113, Whitehall, NY 12887. Brian Thomas Donley POTTERSVILLE Brian Thomas Donley went peacefully into the presence of his Lord on Friday evening, May 5, 2006, at his home in Pottersville. He was born to Neal and Helen Donley of Myerston, Pa. on Aug. 30, 1941.

Brian received his bachelor's degree at Westchester State Teacher's College in Westchester, Pa. and his master's degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich. For 12 years, he was employed in western New York as a public school band director. He worked as director of music Word of Life Bible Institute for 27 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Mountainside Bible Chapel, Schroon Lake.

Since 1964, Brian was also a member of the Tonawanda American Legion Band, Post 264. Brian will always be remembered for his love of music and fine arts. He enjoyed playing his trumpet and the piano for ministry and community events. He had lived in the Lake area since 1976. He used his talents to enhance the ministry of Word of Life.

This included orchestrations and arrangements for the 100-voice choir and the musical productions. Since 1976, he toured the U.S. and overseas The family of Roger W. Newberry would like to extend thanks to all of our many friends and neighbors during our recent loss. The cards, flowers, food and donations made this difficult time somewhat easier.

We greatly appreciate your support. Jeannette Baker Newberry 8 family with the musical ministries of Word of Life. His arrangements are still being used in the ongoing ministry there. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Valerie of 22 years and their six daughters: Emily, Briana, Sarah, Alyson, Joanna and Victoria, all of Pottersville.

He is also survived by his sister, Nadine Speece and her husband, Ron, of Annville, a brother, Bryce Donley and his wife, Lois, of' Myerstown, a sister, Sallyanne Andes and her husband, Craig, of Fuquay-Varina, N.C. and a sister, Faith Greer of Southhaven, Miss. He is also survived by Aunt Ruth of Fort Worth, Texas; and nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, May 8, at Mountainside Bible Chapel, Route 9, Schroon Lake.

Interment will take place Monday morning, May 15, in Myerstown, where his body will be laid to rest beside his parents.
