Victor Wiley Dies In Albany A Hospital Calves, Bull Lost in Fire Mart Scores Sixth Day Of Advance sion following a two-car acci ('' Elwvn-Victor Wiley, 67, prom-! inent Hudson Falls resident and a former publisher and radio personality, died yesterday in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Albany, after an illness of several months. A resident of Hudson Falls for 31 years, having moved there to purchase the Hudson rails Herald, a weekly newspaper, Mr. Wiley has been identified with many organizations. He was a member and past presi dent of the Hudson Falls Rotary Club and a past district governor of the 719th District of Ro tary International.

After publishing the Hudson Falls Herald for a number of years, Mr. Wiley discontinued the newspaper and entered the radio business with Station WWSC, Glens Falls, where he presented a program called "The Hudson Falls Herald of the Air." He continued this for a num ber of years, and then went back into the commercial print ing business on the ground floor of the building in which he lived at 40 Maple St. Several years ago he disposed of the business. Mr. Wiley was a member, past director, and former secretary of the Hudson Falls Chamber of Commerce, and was active in civic affairs for many years.

He was a member of Sandy HilJ Lodge, 372, F. and A.M., and a member of the Wheel and Pitch Campers Association. He was a veteran of World War 1, and a member of Hudson Falls Post, 574, American Legion, and of Adirondack Bar racks, Veterans of World War 1. Hudson Falls police Investi gated. A 72-vear old Cambridge man was injured by an auto while sitting in his house trailer watching television about 5:35 p.m. yesterday. State Police reported Walter Burke, of RD 1, suffered contusions and abrasions of the right leg and abrasions of the left side of the jaw but said he would consult his own physician. According to State Police, Mrs.

Bessie Young, 52, of Cambridge, was backing out of the parking lot of the Innisfail Restaurant on Rte. 22 in the Town of Jackson, when she backed across the road and into the house trailer. Burke was sitting in a chair tilted back against the wall of the trailer when the accident occurred, po lice said. Mrs. Young was Issued two summonses and was ordered to appear before Town of Jackson Justice of the Peace Francis Ackley on May 4.

William Hnetila, 50, of Rens selaer, who left Czechoslovakia in 1938, flew there in March when he learned his mother was ill. He was told that the town where she lived, Borzavke, had become a part of the Soviet Union in 1945 and was not included on his visa. Hnetila was granted a special visit permit by the Soviet Union and allowed to make a brief visit.

"Everywhere the Russians were very friendly," he said. Hnetila was born in the United States but went with his parents to their native Czechoslovakia in 1927. He was separated from them in 1938 and returned to America. He lives with his wife and two daughters. They reside at 9 Aiken Ave.

Looking for Ring; Sets Hotel Afire LONDON, (AP) More than 100 guests were roused at May-fair's smart Westbury Hotel early Thursday when the wife of the hotels owner accidentally set it on fire. Lady Maxwell, 38, wife of Sir Alexander Maxwell, chief of the international Knott Hotel Group which owns the Westbury, had lost a ring and could not find it. "I had a lighter so I lit it, then kneeled down to see if the ring was under the bed. The bed caught fire," she explained to newsmen. Her nightdress also caught fire, but she beat out the flames with a wet towel.

Her room and her husband's, which adjoins it, were extensively damaged and a general fire alarm called hotel quests from their beds. "It was so embarrassing," said Lady Maxwell. The ring? Two persons were hurt In a two-car collision on Glen St. near Clark's Department Store about 2:15 p.m.

Treated in the emergency room of Glens Falls Hospital and released were Mrs. Sharon Carlton, 24, of 15 Montcalm who reported possible chest in juries. Her child, Kelly, three, had possible head injuries. According to Town of Queens-bury police, the injured were passengers in an auto driven by Mrs. Carlton's husband, ,29.

Police said the car was halted in the northbound lane waiting for traffic to make a left turn into the parking lot when it was struck from the rear by another northbound car driven by Mrs. Ann Liapes, 53, of 17 Greenway Dr. The injured were taken to the hospital in a sheriff's patrol car. The accident was investigated by Town of Queensbury Chief of Police LeRoy Phillips. Flora M. Dube Mrs. Flora M. Dube of 283 Main died Thursday afternoon in Glens Falls Hospital following a short illness. She was the widow of Roland F.

Dube. A communicant of St. Paul's Church, she was a member of St. Anne's Sodality. Mrs.

Dube was owner and operator of the F. M. Dube Wallpaper this village, for 38 years. Survivors are two sons, Bertram J. and Robert F.

(Adv.) A large barn was destroyed by fire last night and five calves; and a bull were lost. The barn was on the farm of James Dow, Clark near CI arks Corners. According to initial reports, the fire was discovered between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Flames from about 5,000 bales of burn ing hay in the barn were visible for miles.

Three pumpers from the South Glens Falls Volunteer Fire Co. and one from Gansevoort were the scene. Firemen were hampered by lack of water. No personal injuries were reported It was also reported that several cows were led from the burning structure before it collapsed. Anst Kenneth S. Aust, 62, of West Mountain Town of Queens-bury, died at 8:40 a.m. Thursday in Glens Falls Hospital. He was owner and proprietor of Aust's grocery store, Vander-heyden since 1929. He at tended the Harrisena Commu nity Church.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys; two sons, Douglas K. Aust of Glens Falls and Richard P. Aust of Albany; one sister, Mrs. Harold Silbereisen of Sun City Center, two brothers, James W. Aust of Lake Placid and William H.

Aust of Spier Falls and four grandchil dren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Regan and Denny Funeral Home. 341 Glen with the Rev. Calvin Wilson, pastor of the Harrisena Community Church, officiating.

Edith M. LaVoy, 91, of 10 Montcalm died at 2:40 a.m. Thursday in the Collins Nursing Home, Fort Edward, following a long illness. She was the widow of Dennison F. LaVoy and a member of the Church of the Messiah.

Survivors Include one daughter, Mrs. Gretchen Wilcox of Seattle, one son, Leland M. LaVoy of Glens Falls and one granddaughter, Mrs. Fay Alpaugh of Seattle, Wash. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m.
