They said Patrolman Donald McNeil, 44, was in fair condition at a nearby hospital with a wound in his lower chest. Patrolman Alfred Genova had been shot on the little finger of his right hand, police said. Jack Zinner, about 80, had complained to the police that his son had beaten him up, according to police. Zinner and the two patrolman plus a third police officer went from the lobby to Zinner's 13thfloor apartment at 300 Riverside Drive and knocked on the door.

When there was no answer, police said, McNeil turned the key and swung open the door. The police fell back, called for reinforcements, who arrived with bullet-proof vests, and broke down the door barricaded by Zinner's two sons. Quinn, 81, of 237 Ridle Glens Falls, died Friday afternoon (Jan. 12, 1973) in Glens Falls Hospital following a short illness. Mrs. Quinn as born in Allentow, but has been a longtime resident of Glens Falls. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.

Leland (Jane) Gilmett, and three grandchildren, all of Glens Falls. Friends may call a the Potter Funeral Home, 136 Warren Glens Falls, from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Seventeen students received diplomas at the program which was held in the cafetorium of the Glens Falls Junior High School. Miss Collins, who resides in Glens Falls, is a graduate of St. Mary's Academy. She received her BS and RN degrees from the College of St. Rose and her MS from Teachers' College.

As associate in nursing education she is responsible for curriculum in practical nursing programs throughout the state. Following an invocation by the Rev. Sarah Braveman, well known for her dramatic readings in Boston and New York, will read stories to first-through-third graders at 1 p.m. and to fourth through sixth graders at 2 p.m. An 81-minute feature film will be presented by the Recreation Department at 7 p.m. Saturday at East Field.

A program of Saturday films by the Recreation Department was started last week. During the first presentation the projector broke down during the first reel. The film this Saturday, then, will be the first in the series.
