Board at a recent meeting here. He succeeds the Rev. David S. Blackshear. Dr.

Greenberg will be serving his second term as chairman of the board having been the first chairman in 1954, the year the Washington County Mental Health Board and program was inaugurated. John Leary will a also be repeating his 1954 role as vice chairman. Dr. Greenberg in accepting the chairmanship from Rev. Mr.

Blackshear lauded the outgoing chairman for his years of service to the mental health board and his dedication to his duties as chairman, The mental health board wished the Rev. Irene Bombard Honored at Party On 85th Birthday HUDSON FALLS A surprise party was given in honor of Mrs. Irene Bombard recently in celebration of her 85th birthday, at the home of her grandson and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Clary, Vaughn Hudson Falls.

Fort Edward Civic League Hears Talks About Women FORT EDWARD The February meeting of the Civic League was held yesterday afternoon at the home of the president, Miss Gladys Adams. Since the scheduled' guest speaker was unable to attend because of illness, an impromptu program was conducted by the program chairman, Mrs. John Tubbs, who started off a series of short talks by reading an article from Women's Unit News on "demands that women give up the archaic practice that a woman's chief identity is conferred on her by her husband." The chairman pointed out that this particular woman's views were not her own. Several members spoke on phases of women's liberation and about other current topics during the time alloted in a so-called "countdown." The ways and means chairman, Mrs. Kenneth Hayward.

suggested that a card party be held March 16 at the Fort Edward Art Center if that date is approved. She asked each member to make up one table of players. Student Talks To CDA About Trip to England FORT EDWARD Her experiences as an exchange student in England last July were related by Miss Virginia Burkhardt at the social meeting of Court Morrissey, 1477, CDA, Tuesday evening in St.

Joseph's School Hall. She spent two weeks at the home of Kevin Peacock's parents in Billericay, Essex, and one week in London. Kevin came to Moses Kill, Town of Fort Edward, in March last year to stay three weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Clement Burkhardt and their seven children, and to attend Hudson Falls High School where Virginia is now a senior.

Miss Burkhardt showed movies of England and then spoke informally on highlights of her trip, the places she visited with her host family and the historic sites she saw in London. Miss Burkhardt was one of five exchange students from Fort Edward entertaining their English counterparts last summer, in a school exchange with Great Britain, under the Experiment in International Living, Putney, Vt. The large group of students in the area was sponsored by BOCES of Washington, Warren and Franklin Counties. The business meeting, precedthe program, was conducted by Mrs. Helen Donbeck, grand regent.

Refreshments were served by a committee headed by Mrs. Beatrice Godfrey and Mrs. Julia Chamberlain. Laurie Frudenfeld Bride of John Cook In Baptist Ceremony FORT EDWARD -Miss Laurie Anne Frudenfeld, daughter of Rolling and Mrs. Hills, Karl and Frudenfeld John Brian Cook, son of the Rev.

John C. Cook, pastor of the Village Baptist Church of Fort Edward, were united in marriage Saturday, Jan. 30, in the BelAire Presbyterian Church of Los Angeles by the pastor, the Rev. Donald Moomah, and father of the bridegroom, the Rev. Mr.

Cook. The maid of honor was Miss Karla Frudenfeld, sister of the bride. Matron of honor was Mrs. Wendy Marlett. Bridesmaids were Mrs.

Katherine Barret, Miss Sheryl Wilber and Miss Lisa Defigurede. Best man was Donald McKay. Ushers were Albert Asward, Miles Barret, Ted Sanford and Hank Feller. The reception was held in the ballroom of the Bel-Air- Hotel after which the couple left on a two-week honeymoon in the Caribbean, at Cozumel, a small island off the Yucatan Peninsula, and at Mexico City. Upon their return to California they will reside at 5951 Almaga Springs Palos Verdes.

The bride is a graduate of the University of California and is a teacher in the Wilmington, school systems. The bridegroom is a graduate of Miami University of Oxford, Ohio, and is employed in the sales department of the Liberty Insurance Co. of Los Angeles, Calif. Arthur Dashnaw Sr. of 19 Oak St. were honored at a dinner party Thursday night in celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary. The event was given by Mr. and Mrs.

Warren Van Tassel Jr. of Feeder St. A buffet dinner was served from a table decorated for the occasion. An anniversary cake provided the centerpiece. Mrs.

Latterell, 70, of 1 Hudson died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon when he was stricken in a physician's office at 31 East 'St. Survivors are his wife, Lila; four sons, Merile and Ward Latterell of Middle Granville and Jesse Jr. and Hubert Latterell of Fort Edward; three stepsons, Albert and Joseph Arquette of Whitehall and Donald Arquette of Fort Edward; four daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Barbara) Edwards of Hudson Falls, Mrs. James (Betty) Burthart of Fort Edward, Mrs.

Donald Allen, Miss Mary Joan DePalo and Miss Darlene Mone. OBITUARIES Frederick G. Dunsford Frederick G. Dunsford, 83, 17 Poplar veteran of World War a well known village resident, died Tuesday at 11:55 p.m. in Glens Falls Hospital.

He a member of the Kingsbury Baptist Church, American Legion Post, 553, South Glens Falls; Mohican Barracks, 3489, World War I Veterans, South Glens Falls, and of Mayotte-MacNaughton Post, 918, V.
