1 GLENS FALLS TIMES, GLENS FALLS, N.Y., MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 1964 Another Car Is More Intoxication Arrests During Halloween Period Another car was sprayed with paint and four more persons were arrested for public intoxication, but on the whole Hallowe'en in Glens Falls was quiet. Chief of Police Charles W. Maileff reported an automobile parked at the rear of Kensington Court was staind by some colored substance, not paint, sometime Saturday or Sunday. The owner reported the 1962 vehicle had been in the parking lot for Letters to the Editor Nov. 2, 1964 Editor, 'THE GLENS FALLS TIMES: I am writing this letter to give well deserved credit to Mr.

and Mrs. Russell Harris who have supervision of the Westmount Infirmary. In 1963, my father was taken seriously ill in my home and after a stay at the Glens Falls Hospital, I had to consent to send him to the infirmary as he needed special care that I could not give him. I can truthfully say that he gets better care than I could ever give him. The aides and nurses are wonderful to him.

His room is spotless and bed immaculate at all times. And I can say it just isn't his room, it's all of them. I or a member of my family go up every night, and it is always the same. So I think I have a good reason to praise Mr. and 1 Mrs.

Harris and only pray Mr. Harris is reelected. Sincerely yours, Mrs. Ernest Day some time when 1 he first noticed the coloring. Patrolman Robert Brayman investigated the complaint, and the detective division is continuing the probe.

0 Several cars were sprayed with paint last week, and some flour and dumped into two other vehicles in Hallowe'en week pranks. Two of the persons arrested for public intoxication, both suspended sentences in City Court today. City Judge Patrick J. Mannix told the pair if they are picked up in Glens Falls for any offense during the next year, they will serve out the entire six months. A Lake George man arrested Saturday for being drunk was fined $10, and a South St.

resident was given a suspended sentence on the same charge. Chief Maileff expressed his thanks to the Warren County Civil Defense Police for their help during "Cabbage Night" and Hallowe'en. Five radioequipped cars carrying C.D. police cruised the streets, and C.D. patrolmen worked with Glens Falls police on the streets.

Hallowe'en was reported to be the quietest in the city in several years. Downtown windows were mysteriously devoid of the usual Halloween soap-art, and vandalism and pranks were at. a minimum. HUNGARIANS DEFECT EISENSTADT, Austria, Nov. 2 (P) Three uniformed, Hungarian soldiers escaped to Austria last night and asked for political asylum, police reported.
